 What is Functional Health?

FUNCTIONAL HEALTH is the future of conventional medicine–available now. It seeks to identify and address the root causes of disease, and views the body as one integrated system, not a collection of independent organs divided up by medical specialties. It treats the whole system, not just the symptoms.  -Mark Hyman

How we can help you.

At Halo Functional Health (HFH), we take a comprehensive and in-depth look at your medical history, lifestyle, environment, mental and emotional factors, and genetics in order to develop a treatment regimen to address your individual health issues. This may include a combination of diet, supplements, detoxification, stress management, and lifestyle changes. Occasionally we will conduct lab testing, genetic testing, and food sensitivity testing to further understanding.

Conventional medicine treats the  emerging disease (atop the water) by finding pharmaceutical

In other words, imagine your body like a plant. The leaves are your physical body. The roots are your systems such as endocrine, gastrointestinal, immune, etc. and the soil is the terrain or the environment inside your gut.

Terrain/gut health

If the terrain is not healthy, the roots become dysfunctional which creates an inviting environment for disease to manifest.

Functional medicine focuses on the terrain inside the body to prohibit disease from invading in the first place.  If disease is already present, it works on fixing the terrain so disease cannot thrive.
